Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Project Planner Supervisor to join our team!
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Develops, establishes, and maintains all aspects of the Program Planning effort including Earned Value Management (EVM), Contract Formation Reports (CFR). Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) on one or more of the large, more complex and demanding projects. Monitors the project's progress, status, changes, and impacts, enabling effective schedule control and change management. Integrates projects scope and EPC phases with a level of details sufficient project management roadmap utilizing the Critical Path Method (CPM). Incumbent utilizes his broad experience, expertise, and exposure to various types of company projects and clients.
What You'll Be Doing:
Provides guidance, direction, and specialized assistance for the resolution of difficult and complex project control problems.
Interfaces with clients, attend regular meetings and provide statistical reports.
Provides project and company management with the necessary tools for project cost control.
May lead in the:
Development of the work breakdown structure, interfacing with all affect departments.
Analysis, evaluation, forecast, and reporting of schedule status against an established baseline.
Analysis, evaluation, and forecast project costs and performance.
Coordinates staffing requirements, assigns and supervises project work activities, and trains personnel.
Completes performance reviews and provides personnel development for the assigned employees.
Accumulates and assesses historical data, such as performance experience, for use in maintaining a realistic basis for future planning and forecasting.
May lead a staff qualified to assess the impact(s) of design/construction changes and schedule slippages.
Develops or maintains an established system to show the hierarchy of plans and schedules; keeps project and company management fully informed.
Customize project control systems to meet specific project requirements.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may directed.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management or related field (or equivalent experience) and typically 10+ years of related work experience.
Experience within project control, cost and scheduling of project activities particularly using computer-based scheduling software such as Microsoft Projects, Primavera (Oracle’s Project Management Application), or similar programs is required.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Proficiency in the use of standard Microsoft Office products, including Access, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
The ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written English is required.
Experience of working in foreign countries, especially in the Middle East is an important criterion.
Should also be able to function effectively with colleagues and subordinates of multiple ethnicity and cultural backgrounds.
