Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Quality Assurance / Quality Control Manager (Airports) to join our Aviation team in Europe ! In this role you will manage and provide strategic leadership and direction for all phases of the project’s quality management effort. Our Quality Managers typically manage small to medium sized projects. You will draw upon your diversified background and extensive management experience to successfully deliver this project.
What You'll Be Doing:
Assists in the development and implementation of the project’s Quality Management System, including quality plans, policies, and procedures.
Provides leadership and on-going support for the project QMS, using the ISO 9001 Standard as the basis for process development and optimization, procedure development, data collection, and reporting, as per client or Parsons Quality requirements.
Directs and coordinates efforts to initiate and maintain Project ISO 9001QMS certification.
Implements the defined Parsons’ Corrective Action/ Preventive Action and Non-conformance tracking program, including defining requirements for future administration and support of a unified tracking system for project related reports and findings.
Collaborates with senior project management in facilitating Quality Leadership programs, achieving defined Quality objectives, and implementing Quality Management Reviews.
Provides leadership, guidance, and training to project staff; monitors performance; and identifies skills, training, and capabilities needed for Quality activities.
Directs and assists with the preparation, issuance, and updating of the project Quality program manual(s) and procedures, in compliance with Parsons and client quality requirements.
Monitors team performance against project quality requirements and standards for compliance in delivery of products and services.
Acts as a liaison with client, consultants, contractors, and other project team members on all quality related matters.
Monitors, identifies, and reports all project performance metrics, quality issues or trends, and process or procedural system improvements to senior project management.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Quality discipline, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
10+ years of related work experience in the field of quality on large scale programs, with
Professional certification as Lead Auditor required (ISO 9001 or equal), and ASQ (CMQ/CQE) or other related certification.
Active membership in an internationally recognized Quality organization.
Other preferred qualifications may include
Professional engineer registration (AIA, RIBA, CEng, PE, or similar).
Building Inspector, NQA-1 (nuclear auditor), NDT (ASNT), Welding Inspector (AWS), DOT.

Requires extensive knowledge of Quality Management practices, processes, and current technology.
Requires thorough experience in directing and implementing quality management systems and standards specified by ISO 9000, ASME, ANSI, ASTM and similar organizations.
Requires strong leadership and management skills; excellent written and verbal communication; and strong analytical, problem solving, and risk assessment skills.
Working knowledge of more than one area of industry such as aviation/transportation, infrastructure, built environment, or process.
Strong interpersonal skills to work with other departments in a tactful and effective manner.
