Job Description:
Responsible for drafting contracts, task orders, delivery orders/work requests or other documents required to acquire A/E services for the Royal Commission Engineering Department.
Reports directly to the Contract Administration Supervisor and EPS Manager. Interfaces frequently with other intradepartmental and interdepartmental staff, both Parsons and Royal Commission (RC), as well as other external stakeholders such as A/E consultants and others
What You'll Be Doing:
Provides insight during the implementation of new operations plans, policies, procedures, and transition/ migration plans while ensuring they are consistent with the overall goals and objectives of RC.
Undertakes or assists in special projects as needed.
Maintain, evaluate, and report engineering contracts specifications services, costs and schedules .
Prepare correspondence for the issuance of clearance letters for Visa / Labor, Industrial Security and Housing / Accommodation required for payment to the contractor and evaluate validity of the documents.
Prepare response to GBS observations, correspondence with Legal and Finance & Budgeting Departments.
Evaluate manpower requirements for contracts and coordinate with A/E for required support.
Identifies risks and conflicts of interests and reports on the same.
Reports recorded contractors’ violations to superiors.
When applicable, ensures subordinates and superiors are well informed at all times.
Evaluates subordinates’ performance in a fair, transparent, and objective manner on a periodic basis.
Manage contract lifecycle, from initiation to renewal or termination, ensuring adherence to milestones.
Implement department policies, goals, objectives, and procedures and support in their development as needed.
Assists in development and implementation of business plans while within defined budget parameters.
Manage all A/E contract issues considering integration across all departments.
Manage final contract document deliverables and ensure they are reviewed and accepted within defined procedures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, and operations, to align contract terms with organizational objectives
Performs any other related duties as assigned or directed.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
A Bachelors’ degree in Business Administration, Law, Engineering, or a similar discipline is required. Candidates with a Masters’ degree in a relevant field are preferred.
Minimum eight (8) years' experience in Engineering Contracts with demonstrated performance in Contract Administration and Project Controls.
Strong understanding of contract law and regulations, as well as procurement processes and practices
Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
