Project Controls Director
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Project Controls Director to join KSA team! The Project Controls Director leads the internal Project Controls organization and function within a specific sector, manages stakeholder relationships/expectations at projects/programs, sector and corporate levels and manages/develops project controls resources across the sector.
The selected candidate develops, manages, and executes all aspects of internal project controls function across the sector utilizing diversified knowledge of project controls systems & procedures, and drawing upon broad experience and exposure to various types of projects and clients.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Supports the sector management in identifying means and methods for increasing margins, improving cashflow, and achieving top-line growth.
- Leads Project Controls team within the assigned sector and manages resource assignments and staffing requirements within the department.
- Manages a diversified team of project controls managers/engineers who are qualified to analyze, evaluate, and forecast project costs and financial metrics.
- Leads and/or supports the delivery of various corporate requirements, including project reviews, financial reporting, business planning, forecasting, cash management, etc.
- Establishes and maintains regular contact with Program Directors/Managers to ensure that their Project Controls related requirements are fulfilled.
- As a member of the regional Project Controls leadership, participates in identifying initiatives focused on the improvement and advancement of project controls services across the organization, and leads the implementation of those initiatives, either within the sector or across the region.
- Oversees the development and maintenance of established systems and procedures and utilizes best practices to introduce further improvements to existing and new business processes.
- Functionally manages project controls resources within the sector, including staff assignments/requirements, performance reviews, training and development.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this role as may be required.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and/or Finance/Commerce
- Professional certification via a renowned accreditation body in project management / cost management / project controls.
- 15+ years of related experience, including 5+ years in a leadership/managerial capacity.
- Diversified knowledge and experience in all aspects of project controls with specific focus on project accounting/cost control function including business planning, scope/WBS definition, project financial management setup, budgeting, cost control, earned value, billing, cash collection, financial/progress reporting, change and risk management.
- Proficient PC skills including a proficiency in Project Controls Software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proven ability to perform in a leadership / managerial capacity, as well as thorough knowledge of industry best practices is required.
- Incumbent must meet Parsons Project Controls Manager Certification requirements.
- Proven ability in executive level comms including in delivering informal and formal executive presentations, both internally and externally, on strategic view on financial and commercial issues, e.g. substantiation of a business case or presenting a solution to a complex project financial/commercial issue.
