Requirements:
- Fifteen (15) years' experience is required. Experience is to include, within the past ten (10) years, five (5) years' experience in facilitation, training, methodology development and evaluation, process engineering across all phases of acquisition identifying best practices, change management, business management techniques, organizational development, activity and data modeling, or information system development methods and practices.
- A Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, business, or education from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule process assessments
- Analyze assessment results and make improvement recommendations
- Assess Process Improvement progress and report findings
- Assist in defining Process Improvement strategy and lesson learns
- Develop the plans for process assessments, both informal and formal
- Work closely with the systems and software engineering process development team members to determine organizational readiness for assessment as well as in conducting assessments
- Lead assessment teams in conducting both formal and informal assessments
- Ensure assessment results and recommendations are used as the basis for improvement plans
- Evaluate Systems Engineering and Software Engineering processes to address problems with process workflows, organizational structure and alignment and planning.
- Conducts training sessions and workshops for Process Improvement activities
- Interpret and promote the use of Process Improvement best practices
- Assist in Enterprise level Systems and Software Engineering Process Improvement initiatives
- Lead Process Improvement effort utilizing CMM/CMMI or other similar process models
- Ensure processes are established and documented to support the application and institutionalization of sound systems and software engineering discipline and continuous process improvement
- (U//FOUO) Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets
- (U//FOUO) Configure and manage UNIX and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance
- (U//FOUO) Provide in-depth experience in trouble-shooting IT systems
- (U//FOUO) Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process
