RMGS, Inc. is currently recruiting a Course Lead in Stennis, Mississippi. This position is contingent upon contract award.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist development, instructional support, and training analysis for operational and logistics requirements
- Develop, revise, and maintain courses of instruction
- Write correspondence in professional format daily
- Write professional correspondence and use Microsoft Office, customer systems, smart boards, and related tools
- Teach and mentor international trainees using strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Apply Operational Risk Management principles during instruction
- Assist with the management of assigned courses and support coordination of schedules, including training exercises
- Collaborate with staff on curriculum updates
- Provide instructional support for weapons systems, outboard engines navigation, and communications equipment
- Evaluate training aids and recommend improvements
- Instruct on watercraft maintenance, operation, and technological updates
- Follow Navy safety, ORM, 3‑M, and AA&E security instructions in all technical training
- Serve as Range Officer in Charge/Range Safety Officer as required
- Maintain instructor training records and support the instructor certification and evaluation programs
- Collect and analyze feedback from student critiques, course exams, and instructor feedback and provide training quality indicator summary data
- Assist with exam security and testing, course evaluations, and Academic Review Boards
- Performs travel and driving duties as necessary to support operational and contractual requirements
- Update training databases and support long‑range curriculum planning
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Active Secret security clearance
- Valid driver’s license and obtain/maintain any required certifications
- Strong work ethic with excellent English communication skills (Spanish required for some roles)
- Ability to work independently with high attention to detail
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position which may include walking, standing, bending and moving materials throughout the workday in a fast‑paced environment
- Ability to work non‑standard schedules (nights/weekends as needed)
- Ability to write professional correspondence
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office applications
- Ability to comply with all cybersecurity and IT policies
- Ability to maintain professional conduct and follow all applicable regulations
- 6 years of leadership and instructor experience in a formal training environment with no degree or 4 years’ leadership and instructor experience with a degree or certificate in education or instructional development
- 4 years as a Navy NEC 805A Instructor or equivalent
- Master Training Specialist (MTS) certification
- 6 years of experience managing course curriculum
- 5 years of experience in professional oral communication principles, methods, and techniques
- Fluent in English
- Ability to speak Spanish or French (preferred)
- 5 years of military leadership/training experience with international audiences
- Comfortable instructing courses that include dynamic and static live‑fire training
- Ability to meet Level 1 fitness standards
