Join a winning team and help drive mission success for the NRO’s Mission Integration Directorate (MID). SAIC is seeking a Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) Pentagon User Engagement Representative to support MID’s Strategic Integration Office (SIO) at the Pentagon.
The ideal candidate will bring proven experience within the Intelligence Community and the Department of War (DoW). In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining technical awareness, ensuring continuity, and maximizing impact within the DoW, while advocating for NRO equities, informing key policy discussions, and enabling effective coordination between DoW and NRO staffs.

Responsibilities
• Engage across the Intelligence Community, leveraging customer domain expertise and experience across all disciplines.
• Serve as a key interface between the NRO and the Department of War (DoW), including the Offices of the Under Secretaries of War for Intelligence and Security, Policy, Research and Engineering, and Acquisition and Sustainment.
• Support the DoW in executing its oversight responsibilities, providing strong NRO advocacy while maintaining NRO awareness of key challenges and opportunities within the DoW.
• Collaborate with NRO Directorates and Offices to enhance warfighter and Intelligence Community decision-making through the effective integration of NRO capabilities and data.
• Draft, edit, and produce reports, correspondence, and briefings for senior leaders.
• Track and manage key actions, milestones, and deliverables for executives.
• Coordinate with NRO Directorates and Offices to plan and execute visits by DoW distinguished visitors to NRO facilities and activities.
• Operate primarily from the NRO office at the Pentagon, with regular visits to NRO Headquarters and mission partner locations in the National Capital Region to strengthen collaboration and interoperability.
• Support NRO assessments of Combatant Command (CCMD) Integration Priority Lists (IPLs) and coordinate or support NRO participation in JROC/JCIDS forums.
• Provide strategic planning and senior staff support, including the coordination of strategic and operational engagements.
• Execute customer strategic messaging; track user needs; capture business intelligence and data metrics; and manage key customer relationships.
• Engage frequently with government, SETA, FFRDC, and other external stakeholders to advance shared mission objectives.
Qualifications
Required
• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM), Business, or a related field with 9 years or more of experience. In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, an additional 4 years of relevant Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of War (DoW) intelligence systems experience per level may be substituted.
• Experience supporting executive and senior-level agency/department leaders in policy, oversight, and resource management.
• Demonstrated domain knowledge and expertise in multiple, interrelated space and satellite ground systems.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
• Experience with National Intelligence Space systems and associated intelligence disciplines.
• Knowledge of SIGINT and GEOINT remote sensing systems, their protection, and the broader space and ground architecture, including mission management and/or mission processing functions.
Desired
• Master’s or PhD in Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with 7 years or more of experience.
• Deep domain knowledge and expertise in systems engineering of complex, interrelated systems.
• Experience supporting space and ground programs from initial enterprise capability and architecture definition through requirements derivation and allocation, performance metric development and assessment, test case development, and requirement verification and closure.
• Professional certifications in Systems or Digital Engineering, Program Management, or Architecture (e.g., DAWIA, INCOSE, MBSE such as OCSMP SysML Model Builder, Agile, PMP).
• Operational familiarity with NRO tools (e.g., ChatSurfer, Thresher, JEMA) and/or NRO collection data or Mission Partner Intelligence data.
Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
