POSITION SUMMARY
Knowledge Management, Inc. (KMI) is seeking an early-career Logistics Systems Analyst who will be developed as a Logistics Chain Management System (LCMS) Over-the-Shoulder (OTS) Subject Matter Expert (SME). Working with HQMC Logistics IT Branch (LPI) and senior functional and technical staff, the analyst will support the transition of Global Combat Support System-Marine Corps (GCSS-MC) and other fragmented operational logistics capabilities to the LCMS, leveraging Oracle Fusion SaaS. The role combines hands-on logistics analysis, user support, process and requirements documentation, data visibility, and modernization research.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyze GCSS-MC and related logistics processes, data, user needs, and pain points; translate findings into LCMS business-process maps, prioritized use cases, functional requirements, test scenarios, and transition recommendations.
Provide hands-on OTS support during Oracle Fusion SaaS assessment, configuration, testing, training, and rollout; reproduce issues, document observations, capture user feedback, and coordinate resolution with functional and technical teams.
Analyze inventory, warehouse, material-flow, part/item, location, usage, and performance data; develop KPI reports, dashboard prototypes, and data visualizations that improve command-and-control visibility and near-real-time situational awareness.
Support cloud data architecture and integration planning by documenting authoritative data sources, interfaces, data exchanges, data-quality issues, and information dependencies with data and integration specialists.
Research practical artificial intelligence, advanced analytics, and modeling-and-simulation use cases for forecasting, optimization, readiness, and Expeditionary Advanced Base Operations; findings into LCMS extensibility requirements and decision-support recommendations.
Prepare concise briefings, analyses, process documentation, and decision-support products; facilitate workshops and collaborate with HQMC, LOGCOM, system integrators, users, and other logistics stakeholders.
Support stakeholder outreach, change-impact assessment, training materials, continuous improvement, and adoption-risk tracking throughout the GCSS-MC-to-LCMS transition.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Logistics Management, Business, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Operations Research, or a related field.
Relevant experience gained through employment, internships, co-ops, military service, or applied academic projects involving supply chain, warehouse, inventory, material planning, or business analytics.
Hands-on ability to organize and analyze ERP or warehouse data in Excel and create accurate KPI reports, visualizations, or workflow tools using Power BI, Power Query, Power Platform, Smartsheet, Tableau, or comparable applications.
Demonstrated ability to identify data or documentation discrepancies, evaluate processes, communicate findings, and work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail, initiative, written and verbal communication skills, and ability to learn Marine Corps logistics and Oracle Fusion SaaS concepts quickly.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with SAP, Oracle Fusion Cloud, Microsoft Dynamics, or another enterprise ERP/SCM platform.
Exposure to receiving, inventory control, warehouse operations, barcode/asset tracking, material-flow analysis, or process improvement.
Oracle Fusion SaaS training; familiarity with GCSS-MC or Marine Corps logistics; or graduate coursework in business analytics.
Interest or applied experience in logistics simulations, AI-enabled analytics, forecasting, or optimization.
