Position Description
Assign investigative leads to field investigators based on specific geographic availability.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred;
* Must have experience with the workload assignment and managing workload for multiple contracts;
* Must have thorough knowledge of all aspects of the background investigations process;
* Drives continuous process improvements within the organization through the identification of discrepancies/gaps in current processes and works with regions and departments to be most efficient and effective. Identifies patterns/trends in regions and recommends solutions;
* Highly energized, effective and engaging oral communication skills including the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the employer's and/or customer's organization;
* High reasoning skills, including ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in oral, written, diagram, or schedule form;
* High language skills, including ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations;
* Intermediate math skills, including ability to calculate figures and amounts.
* High computer skills and ability to work in a MS Windows based operating environment, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Internet and E-mail.
* Must be U.S. citizen and able to successfully undergo background investigation to obtain U.S. Government security clearance.
* Must have a current (within the last two (2) years) SSBI or an active Secret Clearance based on an SSBI.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Reports directly to and is responsible to the Consolidated Assignments Manager
* Responsible for the workload assignment process for the assigned region/area in accordance with company policies and applicable law
* Assigns cases via the Portal system
* Assigns and prioritize work based on business rules and position guidelines
* Assigns and maintain EI caseloads
* Understands contract requirements and case types to provide more efficient assigning
* Communicates specific areas that require additional capacity and assist in recruiting
* Establishes and maintains a good professional relationship with CIs in assigned zone
* Continuously engages with investigators in assigned zones
* Maximizes the efficiency and capacity of all investigators
* Responds to investigator's queries by understanding general investigator questions
* Monitors investigator quality and past due percentage when determining best option for assignments
* Works with field operations team to engage additional investigator capacity within the region of assignment
* Establishes assignment due dates when necessary while considering customer due dates
* Uses multiple facets of communication to engage and interact with investigators on a daily basis
* Bundles assignments and maximizes investigator efficiency
* Assist the Consolidated Assignments Manager with TDY assignments and communication
* Other duties as assigned
