PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Command Center Analyst is tasked with monitoring security alerts and events for cybersecurity, network operations, and physical security.
This role serves as the first line of defense, ensuring that technical, digital, and physical security issues are promptly identified, analyzed, and resolved to maintain systems, data integrity, and facility safety.
Monitor enterprise networks, services, and security events to quickly identify technical issues, cyber threats, and physical security alarms.
Investigate system notifications and alerts by tracking, documenting, and notifying relevant business partners.
Coordinate with technicians, customers, vendors, and incident response teams to remediate issues efficiently.
Assist in the execution of disaster recovery procedures and incident response plans.
Collaborate closely with various teams to conduct initial root cause analyses (RCAs) on incidents and threats.
Document end user issues, solutions and resolutions in a tracking system.
Collaborate with technology and security teams to improve detection and response capabilities.
Create and present reports on security status, incidents, and improvements to senior management.
Engage with internal stakeholders and third-party partners to ensure continuity of business and be prepared to recover from an event at National Fuel.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors Degree (Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, or equivalent experience)
Understanding security principles, technology infrastructure, and network protocols.
Familiarity with SIEM tools, EDR solutions, and log analytic concepts.
Strong understanding of incident management principles.
Knowledge of common attack vectors, malware, and threat actor tactics (MITRE ATT&CK framework)
Strong oral and written communication skills, proven technical abilities and strong computer skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
Flexible hours with time management and multi-tasking abilities are essential to success in this position.
