Position Overview
RMGS, Inc. is currently recruiting a Warehouse Specialist II in Camp Pendleton, CA. This position is contingent upon contract award.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Receive, verify, and issue materials against receiving documents and bills of lading.
- Route materials to prescribed storage locations; store, stack, or palletize materials according to prescribed methods.
- Conduct inventory management, including wall-to-wall inventories, reconciliation, and reporting discrepancies or damage.
- Remove materials from storage and prepare for shipment or issue.
- Operate Material-Handling Equipment (MHE), including forklifts (up to 10,000 pounds), pallet trucks, hand trucks, and stakebed trucks.
- Assist in warehouse setup, reconfiguration, and relocation, including assembling shelving and stocking shelves.
- Maintain accurate records and input data into the Global Combat Support System-Marine Corps (GCSS-MC).
- Track government property, recommend stock adjustments, and coordinate replenishment or disposal of excess/obsolete materials.
- Participate in physical inventories and location surveys.
- Escort delivery trucks as required.
- Perform clerical warehousing duties, including processing receipts, maintaining shop stores inventory, and assisting customers at the material issue point.
- Certify the accuracy of material received and issue validation to government stakeholders.
- Maintain and update inventory location systems for ease of retrieval and issue.
- Ensure over-the-counter forms are correctly filled and signed.
- Support the operation and maintenance of government-owned MHE.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Knowledge and experience with GCSS-MC required.
- Forklift license (or ability to obtain) required; must meet government installation-specific requirements for safe operation.
- Experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, and material handling.
- Ability to operate MHE and motor forklifts up to a 10,000-pound lift capacity.
- Strong attention to detail for inventory accuracy and compliance.
- Ability to work collaboratively with government and contractor teams.
- Effective communication and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to lift and move materials as required by warehouse operations.
- Ability to use personal protective equipment (coveralls, boots, eye/ear protection, gloves, construction helmets) as required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain active user accounts and roles within GCSS-MC for the entire period of performance.
- Ability to comply with all security, access, and training requirements.
- Must be local to the place of performance and able to work on site during standard business hours (Monday–Friday, 0800–1600).
- Must be eligible for base access and comply with all identification and access control policies.
