Metropolis Employee Services LLC seeks Senior Data Analyst for its New York, NY office. Develop and implement analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software. Apply data mining, data modeling, natural language processing, and machine learning to extract and analyze information to drive data strategy for key business teams, deliver impactful analyses, identify data and reporting solutions, and prioritize projects that drive business value to enable data-informed decisions. Visualize, interpret, and report data findings and recommendations to stakeholders through clear and compelling data visualizations, reports, and presentations. Develop data visualizations, dashboards, and reports with Tableau to provide teams with actionable insights. Translate complex data findings into clear, compelling stories for both technical and non-technical audiences. Draw upon mastery of Analytics and SQL (Structured Query Language) to craft complex SQL queries and perform ad hoc analysis to answer critical business questions and evaluate the impact of new features. Derive inferences from structured and unstructured data sets and present insights to Engineers, Managers, and Executives. Build and maintain the Data Catalog or Data Dictionary to support data discovery and ensure data governance, and establish best practices and guidelines for data quality, privacy, and access control. Identify opportunities to improve the analytics platform's performance and report usage. Collaborate with engineering teams to define SLAs (Service Level Agreements) for data products. Contribute to the evolution of the data warehouse and data pipelines (Snowflake and dbt [data build tool]) by collaborating with data engineering teams. Requires Masters degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Engineering, Data Analytics Engineering, Statistics, Electronics & Communication Engineering, or related. Must have 36 months of experience in an occupation related to Data Analytics, Big Data, and Data Management. Experience must include 36 months in/with the following: SQL (Structured Query Language)/PL (Procedural Language)-SQL Development; BI (Business Intelligence) Report Development and Testing; Data Warehousing and Data Mining; Deployment of Data Pipelines with snowflake and dbt (data build tool); Data Visualization and Distributed Systems; and Risk Management and Agile Methodologies.
