Consultant-Business Intelligence needed by Verizon in Irving TX.
DUTIES: Review, analyze and evaluate business requirements, business needs and project scope to design the most appropriate end-to-end analytical solutions. Develop analytical solutions and business intelligence modules on top of data warehouse solutions and properly mine raw data. Support key insight propagation that informs decision making across the Verizon Business group through analyzing data and creating data visualizations to identify trends, issues, and opportunities. Understand the source of the data and facilitate loads into the data Warehouse (Teradata). Make informed decisions regarding which technologies and products should be used. Support data analytics for the Digital and Customer experience team, working to organize data and present it in a manner that is easily interpreted and can be actioned. Work with multiple sources of data and identify the best way to connect data sets. Responsible for turning raw data into logical information for reporting, dash boarding, and visualization. Develop automated data extraction to regularly update data sources for daily and weekly dashboards. Craft results into presentations and regular communications for senior management that provide key business insights. Customize each presentation specific to audiences based on background and knowledge of data presented. Identify areas for improvement, incorporating best-in-class and cutting-edge reporting techniques, and crafting new approaches and methodologies. Use Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server for ad hoc analysis and building drill-down dashboards. Perform
comprehensive data discovery, data extraction and data analysis using SQL in a corporate Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW)environment. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors or foreign equivalent degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Intelligence, Engineering, or a related field, and 4 years of experience in the job offered or as a Data Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, or in a related/similar position. Experience therein to include 4 years of experience in data mining and data analysis. Experience therein to include 2 years of experience in the following: using Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server for ad hoc analysis and building drill-down dashboards; performing
