Job Title: Senior SAP Fiori/UI5 Developer
Location: Omaha, NE (Onsite - 5 days a week)
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP Fiori/UI5 Developer to design, build, and enhance modern, user-friendly SAP applications.
This role is focused on developing high-quality SAP Fiori and SAPUI5 solutions that integrate seamlessly with SAP back-end systems.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in creating responsive, role-based applications, integrating with OData services, and ensuring performance, usability, and cross-device compatibility.
You will work closely with functional teams, stakeholders, and technical teams to translate business requirements into scalable SAP UI solutions.
This role also involves extending standard Fiori applications, supporting testing and documentation, and contributing to development standards and best practices.
Candidates with experience in SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, Work Zone, and back-end integration will be especially valuable.
Responsibilities
SAP UI and Fiori Development
Develop and maintain SAP UI applications using SAPUI5, OpenUI5, and SAP Fiori frameworks
Design responsive, intuitive, and role-based applications aligned with SAP Fiori design principles
Customize and extend standard Fiori apps based on business needs
Build modern UI solutions with strong usability and consistent user experience across devices
Integration and Technical Delivery
Integrate front-end applications with SAP back-end systems using OData services and SAP Gateway
Support integration of legacy applications into SAP Work Zone or related frameworks
Apply best practices for code quality, maintainability, and SAP development standards
Troubleshoot and resolve UI, performance, and compatibility issues across environments
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate with functional teams, analysts, and stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into technical solutions
Participate in solution design discussions and provide effort estimates for development tasks
Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of UI solutions
Mentor junior developers and support knowledge sharing within the team
Testing and Documentation
Support unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) activities
Prepare and maintain technical documentation for developed applications and enhancements
Assist in deployment readiness and defect resolution during testing cycles
Qualifications
7+ years of SAP development experience, with a strong focus on UI development
Hands-on expertise in:
SAPUI5 / OpenUI5
SAP Fiori including standard and freestyle apps
HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
Strong experience with OData services and SAP Gateway
Solid understanding of MVC architecture and SAP Fiori design guidelines
Proven ability to troubleshoot UI performance and usability issues
Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with SAP S/4HANA environments
Knowledge of ABAP and SAP back-end integration concepts
Experience with SAP Business Application Studio or SAP Web IDE
Familiarity with SAP BTP, Git, and CI/CD practices
Exposure to Fiori Elements and CDS Views
Experience working with SAP Work Zone and integrating legacy applications
The base salary for this position is $ 92,250 to $137,469 plus incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on work location, qualifications, skills, education, experience, and competencies.
