Represents AMC leadership in senior Army forums when analytical expertise is necessary. Performs analytical studies at the behest of the AMC Command Group. Recommends management initiatives required to structure and implement AMC programs. Exercises technical direction for assigned programs and functions, including front-end analyses required to define management and study issues, and development of those issues into comprehensive study requirements. Exercises broad technical and leadership competence in resolving technical or analytical issues, responding to inquiries, dealing with other analytical elements within the Army and those of other services, and in convincing Senior Leaders of the need for a particular course of action or change in a program and/or policy. Provides near-term, mid-term, and long-term strategic planning reports to the Commanding General, AMC. Incumbent for this position receives no technical supervision. Incumbent is an authority in the specialty area and provides expert guidance and information to all levels of the government.
