Job Title: Quality Assurance SpecialistJob Description
As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting routine laboratory testing such as pH, moisture testing, density, chemical titrations, and allergen testing. Your role is essential in ensuring that raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products meet quality specifications. You will play a key part in maintaining high standards of product quality, food safety, and process efficiency.
Responsibilities
Conduct routine laboratory testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
Review and document test results, investigate out-of-specification findings, and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Maintain accurate and compliant documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to product quality, food safety, and process efficiency.
Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability of results.
Oversee the work of quality analysts and provide guidance when necessary.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in quality assurance and quality control.
Experience working in a laboratory environment.
Knowledge of FDA and USDA regulations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related scientific field is required.
Work Environment
This role operates in both laboratory and manufacturing environments and may require working around food processing equipment and varying temperatures. The position involves an overnight shift with a 2/2/3 schedule from 6PM to 6AM.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South Sioux City, NE.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
