All Registered Nurses (RN) are responsible and accountable to
independently care for a group of assigned patients for a designated
time frame. Delivers care to the acutely ill patient through the nursing
process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and
evaluation. Provide patient care and physician assistance for a variety
of patient types and cases/procedures in the Emergency, Surgery, and
Outpatient, OB and/or Medical/Surgical departments per training and/or
certification competencies. Will be required to cover OB Shifts when
needed. OB experience preferred or will complete OB training to be able
to provide coverage.
Requirements
All Registered nurses are required to have a valid Idaho RN
licensure, or eligible, with the Idaho State Board of Nursing.
All ER nurses must be certified independently by the CMO and CNO/CNM
before the can work independently in the ER. They must have taken
TNCC or ATLS classes.
Current BLS certification required.
Skills/Competencies:
RN2, RN3, and RN4 must obtain and maintain current ACLS, PALS, and
NRP certification.
RNs must be able to demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks, use
good judgment in the delivery of patient care and communicate
effectively with patients, family members, care team members and
providers.
