As our Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON), you will be a cornerstone of our leadership team, ensuring that our nursing staff delivers the highest standard of care. You'll help shape clinical practices, mentor emerging leaders, and foster a culture of empathy, excellence, and continuous improvement. Your work will directly influence patient outcomes, staff satisfaction, and the overall quality of our healthcare services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Partner with the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives.
Oversee daily nursing operations, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards.
Mentor and coach nursing supervisors and staff, fostering professional growth and clinical excellence.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care plans and outcomes.
Monitor staffing levels, manage scheduling, and support recruitment and retention efforts.
Lead initiatives to improve patient satisfaction scores and clinical performance metrics.
Participate in budget planning and resource allocation to optimize care delivery.
Requirements
Current RN license in Nevada required
Bachelor's degree in nursing BSN strongly preferred
Minimum one (1) year of direct psychiatric nursing experience required
Minimum three (3) years of progressive nursing leadership experience, ideally in behavioral healthcare settings
Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in nursing care
Exceptional communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills
A passion for mentoring and developing nursing talent
Ability to stabilize acute psychotic and non-violent crisis' by using accepted intervention techniques
