The Chief Nursing Officer assumes oversight responsibility for the fiscal, clinical, administrative management and regulatory compliance for patient care services for their sites(s). The CNO ensures the safe, effective, high-quality patient-centered nursing care throughout the health care organization. The CNO is strategically positioned at the senior leadership level. He/She collaborates with, and influences, the organization's governing body, medical leadership and other organizational leaders across departments (i.e. Finance, Ancillary, etc.). The CNO develops and implements a strategic plan for patient care services and is responsible to develop and maintain a healthy work environment predicated on employee engagement, patient safety, exemplary outcomes and financial prudency.

Communication and Relationship Management

The CNO establishes themselves as an integral member of the senior executive leadership team. Advocates for resources to ensure that a safe and caring environment is maintained
Understands and builds relationships with-in the surrounding communities to positively influence population health
As a leader in the nursing profession, the CNO engages in and impacts the nursing profession, advocating for policies that promote the profession and organization at a local, regional and national level
Business Skills and Knowledge
Develops business strategy in collaboration with all leadership on established metrics and action plans for patient care services to achieve organizational goals
Drives achievement of organizational goals by expertly executing financial management skills, quality improvement methodologies and employee engagement strategies
Requirements:
Education
Bachelors or Graduate degree in nursing required
Master's Degree required
Doctoral Degree, preferred
Licensure & Certification
Current license as a Registered Professional Nurse
Board Certification at the Executive Level within 2 years Experience
10 year clinical nursing experience, at minimum
Demonstrated progressive management experience in healthcare

When determining a team member's base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).
The salary range for this position is $90.00-$100.00/hour
