HX5 is currently seeking a Systems Engineer to join our team in Dayton, Ohio at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in support of the Mobility and Training Aircraft Program Office and will demonstrate an understanding of DoD acquisition processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide system engineering expertise in systems design and integration, manufacturing, quality and industrial engineering, airworthiness and configuration and data management.
Support the translation of requirements into prime weapon system contractor documents including but not limited to software development plans and sub-specifications, and procedures to ensure the robust application of systems engineering processes across all program development, production, and sustainment tasks.
Identify aircraft certification requirements and assist in obtaining required certifications.
Evaluate spectrum certification requirements, analyze equipment for applicability, and process documentation/requests to ensure system requirements are defined and spectrum certification is achieved and maintained.
Education and Experience
Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience:
Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited school and fifteen (15) years of related experience.
Master's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited school and twelve (12) years of related experience.
Five (5) years of experience on specialty task areas of systems, flight systems, avionics, software or test for the DoD.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time onsite position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours.
