Description
SAIC is seeking a Cost Analyst Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support Tactical Aviation and Ground Munitions (TAGM) Project Office. This position will sit in Huntsville, Alabama.
Job Responsibilities :
Analyze cost findings and recommendations for cost and price evaluations for government contracts
Develop and maintain complex cost models to project pricing scenarios and evaluate competitive proposals
Responsible for a wide range of pre-award and post-award functions
Provide Subject Matter Expertise regarding the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), cost accounting standards, and various contract types
Ensure compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement ((DFARS).
Assess business systems, including accounting, estimating, and purchasing systems.
Qualifications
Required Education:
Bachelors and ten (10) years or more experience; Masters and eight (8) years or more experience; PhD or JD and five (5) years or more experience; four (4) years of experience considered in lieu of degree
Must achieve Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Contracting Professional certification within 36 months of hire.
Qualifications:
Expert knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), particularly Part 15 (Contracting by Negotiation) and Part 31 (Contract Cost Principles and Procedures)
Proven experience with various contract types, including firm-fixed-price, cost-plus-fixed-fee, and time-and-materials
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills
10 (ten) years of direct experience in the cost and price evaluation of proposals for government contracts
Clearance:
Minimum of a Secret clearance required to start
