The primary purpose of this position, INTELLIGENCE SPECIALIST, GG-0132-13 is to function as an expert in the field of risk analysis. The position is to produce Research and Technology Protection (RTP) threat analysis to identify threats to AFRL, USAF and DoD personnel, interests, and resources worldwide and to support the activities of the ACQINT program for AFRL/RQ. Responsibilities -Manage the AFRL's Research and Technology Protection (RTP) analysis and production program, prepares RTP related finished intelligence analysis reports, and provides focused RTP related support to USAF operations. -Conduct the AFRL RTP collection program by directing, coordinating, reviewing and evaluating RTP related activities within AFRL and coordinating those activities with DoD and national-level agencies. -Represent AFRL as a recognized subject matter expert on the organization, personnel, activities, and capabilities of intelligence entities that pose a threat to the USAF. -Serve as an Intelligence authority on specific ISR programs, systems, or issues. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Ideal Candidate: 7-10 years of specialized experience in Acquisition Intelligence (ACQINT) and Open Source Intelligence (OSINT), complemented by an advanced degree in a technical or strategic discipline and key certifications such as ACQ 101 and ACQ 160. They possess a sophisticated ability to analyze the "interplay of forces," expertly connecting foreign economic and industrial shifts to emerging technical threats against U.S. aerospace interests. A multilingual professional with extensive experience delivering classified briefings to diverse leadership levels, they excel at distilling complex technical issues into highly clear, concise, and actionable written intelligence. They have worked within a major IC organization (NASIC, DIA, FBI, MSIC, CIA, NSA, BIS) within the last 4 years. In order to qualify, you must meet the quality experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: A comprehensive knowledge of Research and Technology Protection collections, operations, investigations, and analysis as well as a wide range of concepts governing the intelligence mission and national intelligence objectives. Must be extremely knowledgeable of the terminologies, methodologies, research, and analytical techniques applied to highly complex assignments in intelligence and Research and Technology Protection collection and analysis and the ability to apply facts and estimates derived from numerous sources to a variety of problems having difficult technical aspects. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Knowledge of the interplay of geographical, political, military, economic, and industrial forces in various regions of the world as well as intelligence and RTP threat entities, operations, and capabilities that may be directed. Knowledge of the intelligence cycle and intelligence policy and guidance, and the structure, organization, roles and missions, and inter-relationships. 2. Knowledge of US intelligence community policies, entities, missions, resources, operations, capabilities, databases, and requirements to perform intelligence research planning, operations collection/souring, target analysis, and other intelligence collection related activities. 3. Knowledge of the full range of intelligence research methods, techniques, and practices and advanced analytical principles, concepts, and methods used to identify and analyze complex multi-source intelligence information to produce detailed intelligence capabilities and threat assessments, identify intelligence deficiencies, and advocate for customer requirements. With the ability to present the information verbally or orally when such information is requested. 4. Skill in producing finished intelligence reports and other products that are responsive to the specific needs of customers to include formulating and conducting original research; collating, organizing, and analyzing information; resolving conflicts; and presenting clear and concise findings. 5. Skill in handling, storing and disseminating classified data in accordance with established procedures.
