Job Title:Junior IT Asset & Purchasing Analyst

Job Description:
IMRI is seeking a Junior IT Asset & Purchasing Analyst to support our federal customer. In this role, you will help manage records and purchasing for IT equipment, software, and services. You will work alongside technical staff, project teams, vendors, and contracting offices to help ensure purchases are handled correctly and documented in accordance with federal requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional looking to grow their skills in IT procurement and asset management within a government contracting environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement and Purchasing Support
Support the purchase of IT supplies, equipment, infrastructure, and maintenance services.
Prepare, process, and track purchase orders for IT equipment and maintenance services.
Review procurement packages for completeness and flag any compliance or funding questions prior to submission.
Track procurement actions through completion and provide status updates, including help with invoice issues, billing questions, and funding concerns when needed.
Assist in identifying purchasing risks or gaps and communicate findings to senior staff.
Prepare and send purchase documents to the appropriate customer cardholder.
Support receiving activities and make sure delivered items are properly recorded.
IT Asset and Maintenance Management
Track hardware and software maintenance renewals to avoid lapses in coverage.
Notify system administrators and stakeholders about changes in maintenance or service costs.
Maintain complete records for the full lifecycle of IT hardware and software assets.
Maintain and update documentation for hardware and software contract requirements.
Assist with vendor communications and help gather pricing information for equipment and service purchases.
Support audits by responding to questions about IT assets, software licenses, and maintenance records.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Accounting, Management Information Systems, or a related field required.
2+ years of related experience.
Strong analytical skills, including full proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis functions) and basic financial tracking.
Ability to understand contract terms, software licensing requirements, and funding documents.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
Ability to communicate clearly with technical staff, project stakeholders, contracting personnel, legal reviewers, and vendors.
Salary Range: $65,000 - $80,000 annually.
