Summary:
Neuberger is seeking students who are passionate about asset management to join our Institutional Client Group ("ICG") for an 8-week internship focused on developing client facing professionals. Our interns will partner with members of the ICG on business development and consultant relationship management initiatives to gain exposure to the institutional channel, while also participating in the broader firm intern programming.
Successful interns will be given the opportunity to join our Client Analyst Rotational Program ("STAR Program") - full-time permanent position that starts the following summer designed to prepare participants for career opportunities within our Institutional Client Group.
Responsibilities:
Institutional Client Group:
Create internal meeting preparation materials for client advisors and investment teams
Coordinate with Associates and Analysts to respond to ad-hoc client requests and work on strategic projects
Help facilitate materials for both internal and client/prospect meetings
Analyze and collect the latest industry/market information to help identify target prospects
Contribute to Salesforce data accuracy by monitoring client & consultant websites, auditing distribution lists, etc.
Own and coordinate weekly deliverables to be distributed to the broader ICG
Opportunity to engage with senior professionals and investment teams throughout the program, including the final project
Firm Intern Programming:
Attend firm panels focused on Neuberger's lines of businesses and operations, including portfolio management, corporate divisions, research, alternatives and distribution
Participate in various Learning and Engagement offerings including interviewing and presentation skills
Corporate volunteer event with a select not-for-profit partner organization
Research and assess the investment quality of a specific company in small groups.
Compile and analyze company/industry research and present a buy/sell/hold recommendation to a group of Neuberger's senior portfolio managers
Qualifications:
2028 spring or 2027 Winter graduate with strong academic credentials (GPA 3.5+ preferably)
Finance or Economic major, membership of campus investment or financial clubs (preferably)
Series Industry Essentials exams, prior internships in Financial Services industry (preferably)
Candidates should be energetic, curious, and motivated self-starter
Strong sales orientation/aptitude and/or keen interest in the institutional business
Effective communication exemplified through strong presentation and writing skills
Team-player with a collaborative attitude
Ability to work independently and manage/prioritize multiple projects
Strong analytical and organizational skills, detail-oriented

Compensation Details
The hourly rate for this role is $30. This is the hourly rate we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted hourly rate, and the hourly rate may be modified in the future. This hourly rate is only applicable for jobs to be performed in the job posting location.
