As a Training and Development Officer, you will deliver specialized Protective Services/Security instruction that equips personnel with the skills needed to support NASAs mission. This position also includes serving as the onsite Armorer, ensuring the secure management and readiness of essential equipment.
Responsibilities
Deliver additional security, safety, and lawenforcement training to NASA contractors and civil servants as directed by the LRC NPSTA Training Manager or NHQ Annex COR.
Interpret and apply detailed rules, instructions, and training materials with strong English reading, speaking, and comprehension skills.
Maintain schedule flexibility to support mission needs, including occasional weekend and holiday assignments.
Qualifications
Bring substantial experience in law enforcement or security training, such as serving as a Range Master, delivering SPO instruction, or holding a multiyear background in civilian or lawenforcement roles.
Successfully complete the NASA Protective Service Training Academy basic course.
Maintain all required NASA physical certifications and consistently qualify with assigned firearms and specialty weapons.
Hold a valid drivers license and meet strict suitability standards, including a clean criminal and druguse history.
Possess essential instructional and technical certifications, including NBTS Instructor, Glock Basic Armorer, Range Instructor, and core ICS coursework (100, 200, 300, 700, 800).
