The Opportunity:
The Satellite Communications Operations Help Desk Technician Tier 3 - Senior provides technical support to all DoD users by resolving complex technical issues and inquiries. Provide advanced technical assistance for C2ISR Data Transport Infrastructure across global operational environments. Support focuses on rapid incident response, network troubleshooting, and coordinating service interruptions for transport infrastructure systems.
Responsibilities:
Provide Tier 3 expertise, contributing to enhanced situational awareness of DoD mission-critical SATCOM network infrastructures
Assist in maintaining and executing backup and disaster recovery plans for enterprise COOP
Deliver Tier 3 technical support and incident resolution for C2ISR platforms and systems.
Ensure smooth operation and maintenance of mission critical infrastructure services and operational effectiveness of satellite communication systems
Liaise with commercial service vendors/providers, U.S. Government, , and DoD entities to resolve outages and manage installations/terminations.
Investigate user information, network, and communications needs; recommend software and hardware purchases.
Maintain circuit records and trouble logs.
Supporting operations 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year (24/7/365) - shift work
Qualifications:
Required:
Active TS/SCI security clearance
Bachelor's in computer science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems
7 years' experience with C2ISR Data Transport Infrastructure systems and networks
CompTIA A+, Network +, GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC) and Certified Network Defender (CND) certifications
CCNP
Obtain DoD-approved IA baseline certification for ADP-III/IT-III based on IAT level and CE/Operating System (OS) certificate within 6-months of hire
Desired:
Experience with Role Specific Tools: Service Desk ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Remedy); knowledge base repositories; remote desktop support tools (Microsoft Remote Desktop, TeamViewer); collaboration platforms (Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Outlook); PC diagnostic utilities; network connectivity testers; audio visual troubleshooting tools; inventory and asset management systems; documentation templates for procedures and trouble logs. eMASS internal audit portals; Excel/SharePoint audit templates; CMDB with version control; Power BI with R/Python integration; Tableau; predictive analytics engines; Teams; Azure AD role-based access; mobile access via Power Apps."

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$70,100 - $147,400
