Our financial services client is seeking a Senior Logging / Monitoring SOC Analyst to join their dedicated team. You will be an integral part of the Security team supporting incident detection, response, troubleshooting, and prevention efforts. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, proactive problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully within the organization.
Job Title: Senior Logging / Monitoring SOC Analyst
Location: Phoenix, Arizona (Hybrid 3 days in office)
Open to NYC and Atlanta, GA as well
Pay Range: 50-55/hr W2

Term: 6-12+ contract role
What's the Job
Assess current state of logging / monitoring tools to recommend improvements.
Monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools and endpoint protection solutions
Conduct static and dynamic malware analysis to identify malicious activities
Investigate network data flows and security breaches to determine root causes
Coordinate incident response efforts to contain and remediate security threats
Maintain and improve security protocols based on evolving threats and industry best practices
What's Needed
5-6+ years working as a SOC Analyst with involvement with incident response and troubleshooting
Experience with AWS, GCP, and cloud security principles
Proficiency in troubleshooting network and endpoint security issues
Knowledge of information security principles and incident response procedures
Familiarity with security certifications such as Security Certifications, Incident Response Certifications, AWS Certification, GCP Certifications
Strong analytical and communication skills with a focus on teamwork and continuous learning
