Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Network Analyst to support and maintain enterprise network infrastructure for a Houston-based organization. This is an ongoing contract opportunity offering a hybrid work schedule (onsite and remote). The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies and Palo Alto firewalls, with a strong preference for candidates who have supported oil and gas environments.
Responsibilities
Design, implement, monitor, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure
Configure, support, and maintain Cisco routers, switches, and wireless technologies
Manage, configure, and troubleshoot Palo Alto firewalls, including security policies, VPNs, and threat prevention
Monitor network performance and ensure high availability, reliability, and security
Identify, diagnose, and resolve network issues in a timely manner
Support network upgrades, migrations, and technology refresh projects
Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and application teams to support business initiatives
Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, and configuration standards
Follow best practices for network security, compliance, and change management
Requirements
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Network Analyst or Network Engineer
Strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking (routing, switching, LAN/WAN, VPN)
Proven experience supporting Palo Alto firewalls in an enterprise environment
Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing protocols, and network security concepts
Experience troubleshooting complex network issues in production environments
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting oil and gas or industrial environments
Familiarity with hybrid or large-scale enterprise networks
Relevant certifications (Cisco, Palo Alto, or networking/security certifications) a plus
Work Environment
Hybrid schedule - combination of onsite and remote work
Houston, TX (local candidates preferred)
Ongoing contract with the potential for long-term extension
