Job Title: Data Visualization Analyst I
Position Summary:
Risk Adjustment Data Visualization Analyst to design and deliver clear, actionable visual insights that support risk adjustment performance, accuracy, and compliance. This role combines healthcare data knowledge with strong visualization and analytical skills to help clinical, coding, and operational teams understand trends, gaps, and opportunities related to risk adjustment programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports related to risk adjustment performance (e.g., risk scores, HCC capture, coding gaps, suspect conditions)
Translate complex risk adjustment and clinical data into clear, intuitive visualizations for diverse audiences
Partner with risk adjustment industry, engineering, and analytics teams to understand business questions and reporting needs
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and trends across populations, providers, and time periods
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and alignment with government risk adjustment guidelines
Automate recurring reports and improve dashboard usability and performance
Support data validation and reconciliation between source systems and reports
Prepare visuals and summaries for leadership presentations and operational reviews
Document metrics, logic, and visualization standards
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Health Informatics, Public Health, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
Experience working with healthcare data, preferably in risk adjustment, quality, or population health
Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail
Technical Skills
Proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar)
Strong SQL skills and experience querying relational databases
Experience working with large healthcare datasets (claims, eligibility, encounters)
Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets
Experience with Python or R is a plus
Risk Adjustment & Healthcare Knowledge
Understanding of healthcare data, including medical claims, enrollment, and encounter data
Knowledge of Medicare Advantage, ACA, or Medicaid risk adjustment programs preferred
Awareness of compliance and audit considerations is a plus
Preferred Qualifications (Optional)
Experience supporting coding teams, chart review programs, or provider performance initiatives
Familiarity with data governance, HIPAA, and healthcare data privacy standards
Experience building executive-level dashboards
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong data storytelling and visual design skills
Strong proficiency with product and UX design principles
Ability to communicate insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ability to manage multiple reporting priorities and deadlines
Collaborative and proactive problem-solving approach
