Position Summary
The Veeva Vault Quality Systems Analyst is responsible for the design, configuration, optimization, and continuous improvement of Veeva Vault Quality Suite applications, including QualityDocs, QMS, and Batch Release. This role blends business process design, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional collaboration to enable scalable, audit-ready GxP quality processes aligned with global regulatory expectations.
The position exists to ensure that digital quality systems effectively support end-to-end quality operations while maintaining a validated state and driving process excellence across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Veeva Vault Configuration & Administration
Configure and maintain Veeva Vault Quality applications (QualityDocs, QMS, Batch Release).
Manage user roles, permissions, metadata, lifecycle states, workflows, and security settings.
Oversee Vault release management activities, including regression testing and impact assessments.
Support validation of new Vault features and patches in accordance with GxP expectations.
Ensure system changes follow internal change control and validation procedures.
Business Process Analysis & Optimization
Lead discovery and requirements workshops to document current-state and future-state quality processes.
Translate business and compliance needs into functional and technical system requirements.
Design and optimize scalable workflows for:
Deviations and Non-Conformances
CAPA
Change Control
Complaints
Audits
Batch Release
Document Management
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across global Quality organizations.
Documentation & Compliance
Develop and maintain system documentation, including:
User Requirements Specifications (URS)
Functional Requirements Specifications (FRS)
Configuration Specifications
Validation protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ) and scripts
SOPs, work instructions, and training materials
Partner closely with Quality Assurance to ensure the system remains in a validated and inspection-ready state.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Act as the primary liaison between Quality, IT, Training, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, LIMS, and Regulatory teams.
Coordinate with Veeva and implementation partners on enhancements, upgrades, and issue resolution.
Provide subject matter expertise for Veeva Vault Quality modules and digital quality processes.
Support audit and inspection readiness activities related to quality systems.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $110,000 - $130,000 (commensurate with experience)
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on individual performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
