What
You'll
Provideastrodynamicanalytical support, algorithm development, systems engineering and architecting, and modeling and simulation analysis for space surveillance systemsand missions.
Conduct a range of analysis using a framework of modeling, simulation and analysis capabilities including in-house,customand commercially available/government provided modeling tools
Analyze electro-optical (EO), infrared (IR), radar and passive radio frequency sensor concepts, architectures, and algorithms.
Perform space protection and space threat susceptibility, vulnerabilityanalysisand resiliency assessment.
Supportexercises of spacesystemsand evaluate exercise and training requirements.
Application of modeling and simulation for mission operations
Contribute to risk and resilience assessments over a broad range of threats to satellite operations including, but not limited to, RF and optical interference and counterspace threats.
Support other focus areas of the department, which could include modeling and risk assessments of kinetic threats (such as debris, collision, and disposal), Space Domain Awareness, and mission operations.
Provide independent assessments and lead studies with teams of analysts
What you need to be successful
Space Domain Awareness and Space Control Analyst
- Modeling & Simulation Engineering
Minimum
Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, or another related technical discipline
Demonstrated experience within the SDA, space control missionareasor MW/MT/MD mission areas
2 or more years of increasingly responsible and related engineering/scientific experience
Experience in modeling, simulation, analysis, and/or algorithm development
Led development of computer tools and simulations to support analyses of interdisciplinary support teams and performing general systems engineering and integration support
Experience in at leastonethe following programming languages; Java, C++, Python, MATLAB, C, or FORTRAN.
Good interpersonal communication and briefing skills along with the ability to work independently and interact effectively with high-level government, Aerospace, and contractor personnel.
This position requires the ability to obtain andmaintaina security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship isrequiredto obtain a security clearance.

4 or more years of relevant and progressive professional experience

Advanced technical degreein engineering, physics, mathematics, or another related technical discipline
Current TS/SCI clearance.
Background in command and control.
Experience with EO/IR sensors, especially for missile warning/missile defense
Operational experience as an orbit analyst, space control operator, battle manager in the air, maritime or missile domains, or an Air Force weapons school graduate
Experience with,or understanding of,electronic warfare and/or passive RF collection modeling
Experience with space surveillance network sensor operations, or other SOSI network sensor operations
