Description
SAIC is seeking an Engineer Technician for shipboard Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) major systems. This program will be part of a transformative venture, driving the future of next generation afloat mission effectiveness in response to evolving strategic and environmental demands.
Job Duties:
- Utilizes specialized test equipment to complete C5ISR communications, networks, and sensor systems testing.
- Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, system layouts using Autocad and PDF formats to perform test procedures development, system testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- AA Degree in related discipline and one (1) years or more relevant experience with one or more shipboard C5ISR systems: radio communication racks, Interior Communications(Alarm/Saferty/Warning), shipboard CGOne/Unclass/SIPRNET LANs, Surface Search Radar, Navigation Distribution system, Integrated Bridge System Or, High School and two (2) years related experience with relevant certification.
Required Security Clearance and Certifications:
- Must have an active Secret clearance on first day of employment.
Desired Skills:
- Familiar with utilizing C4ISR/C5ISR Interface Control Documents, Block diagrams, and Functional Interface Drawings.
- Prior experience utilizing Autocad.
- Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) IA Level II - Security+ certification, or CSSIP, Network+, A+ or equivalent.
Desired/Key C3ISR, C4ISR, C5ISR, and/or C6ISR Shipboard Systems:
- Integrated Bridge System.
- Gyrocompass (e.g., WSN-7).
- Surface Search Radars (e.g., AN/SPY-6, SPS-series).
- UHF, HF, VHF Marine Radios.
- Shipboard Communication Cabinets.
- Shipboard Alarms and Interior Communications (Safety, Warning Systems).
- Fathometer and Depth Sounding Systems.
- Global Positioning Systems (GPS).
