The Test Facilities Operation, and Engineering (TFOME III) Team, which includes Troy7, Sierra Lobo, HX5, Amentum & MSM, is currently seeking a Research Facility Electrician (RFE) * * to join our team in Brook Park, Ohio at NASA Glenn Research Center (GRC). The role may be assigned to HX5 or one of the other teammate companies. The TFOME team at the NASA Glenn Research Center provides engineering and technical services in the aeronautics, space power, and propulsion test facilities.
Responsibilities:
The Research Facility Electrician (RFE) will perform a variety of journeyman electrical trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energy. Duties and responsibilities may include but not limited to:
Install and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, power equipment, and components of machinery and equipment following electrical code, manuals, specifications, schematics, and blueprints
Install and repair control and distribution apparatus, including motors, relays, switches, circuit-breaker panels, etc.
Install and connect power supply wiring, cables, conduit, and electrical apparatus for machines and equipment in facilities following diagrams, schematics, or blueprints.
Diagnose and resolve problems in electrical circuits, systems, and equipment using testing instrumentsand equipment.
Test continuity of circuits to ensure compatibility and safety of components using testing instruments.
Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit using rulers, measuring devices, hand tools, pipe threader, and conduit bender.
May operate facility overhead cranes, bucket trucks, man-lifts, forklifts, and portable cranes.
