Job Description:
Ensures simulation events are fully immersive through proper room orientation, environment realism, and application of medical moulage and simulated medical conditions. Assists with planning, coordinating, and executing all simulation exercises, courses, conferences, and workshops. Supports all aspects of the learning environment before, during, and after simulation exercises, including direct interaction with participants and adjustments to scenarios. Serves as on-site liaison for Standardized Patients/Role Players and works with department stakeholders to meet simulation resource needs. Manages and maintains all equipment, including simulators and computer/audiovisual equipment, ensuring proper working order, maintenance, warranty support, and software updates. Communicates with vendors regarding maintenance, repairs, updates, and technology changes. Supports management of medical supply inventory required for simulation learning and maintain accurate inventory of equipment and supplies. Serves as a liaison to campuses, programs, and hospital leaders for technical assistance and expertise related to simulators and computer/audiovisual equipment. Assists with curriculum development and strategic planning specific to operational and technical aspects of scenarios/curriculum. Other duties as assigned. Operates human patient simulator systems, simulation task trainers, associated medical equipment, and computer/audiovisual equipment during training exercises. Facilitates operational and technical aspects of post-exercise debriefings using various audiovisual platforms. Troubleshoots technical issues related to networking, audiovisual platforms, and simulation equipment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to map clinical, educational, and operational processes, gather and analyze evidence-based data and effectively present information to various levels of audiences. [Required]
Working knowledge of current human patient simulators and simulation/audiovisual platforms, including Laerdal, Gaumard, and CAE Healthcare. [Required]

Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex concepts and ideas in understandable terms to all levels of internal staff (customers). [Required]

Work Experience:
1+ of experience in direct patient care within hospital or clinical setting [Preferred]
1+ of experience in simulation operation/education/training, preferably with human patient simulator platforms and audiovisual equipment/operating software [Preferred]
3+ of experience in simulation operation/education/training [Preferred]
