WILLINGNESS QUESTIONNAIRE:Questions 29 through 36. The following section of questions will be used to determine if you are willing to perform critical responsibilities for this role. Your responses to the first four questions will be used to determine your placement on the eligibility register. Your responses to the subsequent questions will be used when considering you for hire after placement on the register. The LA County Probation Department operates several facilities throughout the County designed to serve and care for youth while they are in juvenile detention. Working in a juvenile detention facility requires dedication to maintaining physical safety and supervision 24 hours per day, seven days per week, and 365 days per year. It is CRUCIAL that the Probation Department maintain an adequate number of personnel to ensure safety and security of youth and staff, carry out facility operations and programming, and meet established standards and regulations. Dependable on-time attendance is ESSENTIAL. Failure to report for your assigned shift will unfairly burden you coworkers, forcing someone else to come in during their scheduled time off or requiring someone to stay for an additional shift that they were not expecting to work. Not only will this significantly impact your coworkers and partner agencies, but also their families, those who depend on them, and the youth within your custody. Personal responsibility and consideration for others are an important part of fulfilling our Mission and Vision.
