Mission
The mission of Space Training and Readiness Command (STARCOM) is to prepare U.S. Space Force (USSF) forces to prevail in a contested, degraded, and operationally-limited environment. We achieve this through the deliberate development, education, and training of space professionals; the creation of space warfighting doctrine and tactics; and the operational test and evaluation of USSF capabilities.
_Your Role
To serve as a general engineer in planning, organizing, and determining necessary policies, regulations, directives, programs, doctrine, and procedures for the establishment and maintenance of assigned Field Command (FC) programs involving USSF
space/cyberspace operations.
Duties:
Plan, organize, and direct engineering work in support of USSF test and evaluation programs that comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.
Apply a number of diverse engineering practices, techniques, and processes in the fields of engineering and Test & Evaluation to perform work involving the application of electronics, mechanical, aerospace, and/or other engineering disciplines in support of USSF test and evaluation programs.
Evaluate reports by analyzing facts and performing appropriate research and prepares detailed responses.
Ensures effective management of mission system programs to include stakeholder and mission system owner validation of requirements, including implementation, sustainment planning, and future program development.

__ Qualification/Eligibility Requirements
U.S. citizenship
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret w/SCI clearance.
Employee needs to obtain and maintain approval to access the portfolio of Special Access Programs required to perform daily duties.
A professional engineering degree at the bachelor's level from an ABET accredited institution in (specific discipline of position) or a closely related field is required.
This position is designated as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety. It is required that you (a) refrain from the use of illegal drugs and (b) if requested, submit to urinalysis testing.
Must meet the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements applicable to the duties of the position.
May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
