Position Summary:
Perform duties to assist in the building, rebuilding and repair of production machine tools.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Work from maintenance manuals, prints, work orders and instructions from Leadership.
Repair a variety of equipment involving mechanical, hydraulic and electrical functions.
Test and tear down equipment and replace defective parts and component units as directed.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities, check equipment function and operation as needed.
Assist in the installation or relocation of equipment.
Document blueprint changes.
Perform repair and fabrication welding and torch operations as required.
Perform all duties in accordance with appropriate guidelines for hazardous and non-hazardous waste disposal.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma / GED or equivalent
Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, hydraulic schematics, and mechanical blueprints
Experience with basic hand tools, micrometers, calipers and other precision measuring equipment.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
Ability to tolerate a wide variety of temperature ranges from hot to cold.
Work in awkward positions, bending, kneeling and crouching down.
Repetitive lifting from ground level to overhead.
