JOB SUMMARY:
Collaborate with Senior Functional Analyst, Product Owner, Business Partners, Product Team, Engineering, and Cross Functional Teams (Finance, Accounting, FP&A, External Reporting, Tax), to design, optimize, and scale finance systems and solutions. Serve as a partner to business teams in translating business needs into platform capabilities and ensure finance systems are maintained to meet business requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for collaborating with the team to understand and propose solutions to configure package software or custom software development
Drive AI-Driven Financial Insights, Automation & Digital Finance Transformation
Partner with Data/AI teams to leverage predictive analytics, machine learning, and generative AI for forecasting, demand modeling, and variance analysis.
Use AI/ML to detect anomalies, optimize cost drivers, identify business risks, and improve forecast accuracy.
Support the design of AIpowered dashboards, copilots, and decisionsupport tools for Finance.
Lead automation initiatives across FP&A, accounting, and reporting
Automate data refresh, financial consolidations, variance explanations, and recurring reporting tasks.
Implement intelligent document processing (IDP) for invoice extraction, financial statement ingestion, and reconciliations.
Improve process efficiency through workflow automation and standardization of finance processes.
Provides functional design support for finance technology solutions across transactional accounting, finance, tax, FP&A, and reporting.
Convert business requirements into product configuration requirements, maintain functional and technical documentation, including user stories, and other Agile artifacts.
Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure solutions are scalable and compliant with Sysco's standards and policies.
Ensures design and development standards are being followed to minimize rework; promotes only quality-tested code and does it frequently
Provides subject matter expertise support for issue resolution, root-cause analysis, and ensure continues optimization and automation with AI/ML solutions.
Reviews required documentation to communicate information to deployment, maintenance, service, and business teams
Education:
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, computer science, or equivalent for the specific role's responsibilities
Mandatory Experience:
3-5 years of experience in finance, financial systems technology supporting finance functions.
Hands-on experience with enterprise finance systems (Workday, Microsoft BI, SAP BPC, Microsoft D365)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand processes around consolidations, planning, finance analytics, and external and internal reporting.
Proven ability to write clear functional requirements and collaborate with engineering teams
Strong understanding of data modeling and integration across finance platforms.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement are required across global teams.
Preferred Experience:
Strong financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and analysis skills.
Hands-on experience with automation or analytics tools in finance and accounting processes.
Understanding of AI/ML concepts (predictive analytics, LLM-based copilots, NLP, anomaly detection).
Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (SAP, Workday, Oracle, etc.).
Background in RPA for finance, intelligent document processing, or automated reconciliations.
Experience leading digital transformation or finance modernization initiatives.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong understanding of Scrum, Lean, XP, Kanban & other agile frameworks
Demonstrated "agile-development" mindset with strong customer-focus & results-orientation
Knowledge of automation tools, AI-enabled finance solutions.
Ability to excel in a fast-paced agile environment, adapt to shifting urgencies, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
