Job Description
As a Data Engineer at this Fortune 500 company, you will focus on enabling data-driven insights across FinTech consumer and business products. This role emphasizes downstream data engineering work, including automation, reporting, and building scalable data pipelines that power dashboards and analytics. You will collaborate closely with analytics, product, and business teams to transform raw data into actionable insights that support products such as Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) and other consumer and business solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain data pipelines that support reporting, analytics, and business intelligence use cases.
Automate recurring data workflows and reporting processes to improve efficiency and data reliability.
Design and develop interactive dashboards and visualizations to support product, operations, and business teams.
Work with large datasets from PayPal's consumer and business products, including BNPL and other financial services offerings.
Partner with analysts, product managers, and stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver scalable data solutions.
Ensure data quality, consistency, and accessibility for downstream analytics and decision-making.
Leverage internal analytics platforms such as Claude Compute and Claude Dashboard for data processing and reporting.
