Job Summary: You will develop recreational program for students and coordinates work schedules for the recreational staff. You will report to the Dean of Students at the Jones Academy in Hartshorne, Oklahoma.
Primary Tasks:
You will develop recreation program for the students to promote a healthy lifestyle.
Adapt recreation programs to meet age-appropriate activities for the students.
Introduce new program activities, equipment, and materials to students and staff.
Train Staff on specific job assignments and evaluate performance. Distribute and balance the workload among your employees. Design a schedule that keeps employees busy during their tour.
You will coordinate daily activities for appropriate age groups to be put on the JA calendar. Recreation staff will oversee students and clean-up upon completion of event.
Handle inventories for all recreational equipment/supplies and verify equipment safety.
Transport students to and from school and activities.
Participate in weekly meetings and communicate information back to staff.
Help with Jones Academy Reunion and other activities throughout the school year.
Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
Associates Degree (preferably in education), or 2 years directly related experience.
Oversee students and adults.
Experience in Microsoft word and excel
Demonstrated leadership qualities.
CDL Required
Valid state driver's license.
One year of directly related training and/or experience.
