Overview
The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst (Geospatial / ArcGIS Specialist) delivers advanced geospatial analytics and location intelligence that inform enterprise branching strategy, market expansion, and network optimization. This role combines GIS, spatial analytics, data analytics, and business intelligence to develop scalable geospatial datasets, models, and visualizations that support branch, ATM, and market planning.
Working with a high degree of independence, the analyst partners with business leaders, data teams, and technology stakeholders to translate complex spatial and business data into actionable insights and enterprise GIS solutions that influence operational and strategic decisions.

Responsibilities
Design and deliver advanced geospatial analyses to support market prioritization, network optimization, and strategic planning initiatives
Develop spatial models such as drive-time, coverage, clustering, trade area, and site suitability analyses
Integrate internal and external spatial datasets to generate actionable location insights and forecasts
Develop, maintain, and optimize geospatial datasets, services, and workflows within ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise
Manage geodatabases, spatial data pipelines, and data quality processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and scalability
Integrate GIS with enterprise data platforms (SQL, Databricks, BI tools) to enable repeatable analytics and dashboards
Create high-impact geospatial dashboards, maps, and data stories using ArcGIS Dashboards, StoryMaps, Tableau, and Power BI
Translate complex spatial and statistical analyses into clear insights for senior and non-technical audiences
Produce executive-ready analyses that support planning, investment, and operational decisions
Collaborate with stakeholders to define analytical requirements and translate business questions into geospatial solutions
Provide data-driven recommendations that influence network, market, and operational strategy
Lead or contribute to cross-functional analytics and GIS initiatives
Apply spatial statistics, predictive modeling, and advanced analytics techniques
Promote GIS best practices, data standards, and scalable geospatial methodologies
Identify opportunities to automate and modernize geospatial analytics capabilities
Develop executive-ready map packages and cartographic deliverables that communicate insights for market analysis, site selection, and network planning
Qualifications
5-7+ years of experience in geospatial analytics, GIS, and business intelligence
Advanced proficiency with Esri platform including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise (geodatabases, services, dashboards, StoryMaps)
Strong SQL skills and experience working with spatial databases
Proficiency with programing languages such as Python and R for geospatial or statistical analysis
Experience integrating GIS with BI and data platforms (Tableau, Power BI, Databricks, or similar)
Strong understanding of spatial data models, projections, and geospatial data management
Experience building spatial models (drive-time, trade area, clustering, site selection, or similar)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to translate insights into business recommendations
Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous or evolving problem spaces, structuring analyses and solutions with limited direction or incomplete data
Experience communicating technical concepts to non-technical and senior audiences
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
Ability to take initiative with sound business judgement
Research and technical writing skills
Proactive problem-solving skills
Excellent communication, data storytelling, and technical presentation skills
Interpersonal skills to support collaboration and relationship building
Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geospatial Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, or related quantitative field
Desired Qualifications
Experience in enterprise GIS environments and ArcGIS Enterprise deployment or administration
Experience with predictive location modeling, predictive analytics, and forecasting
Experience integrating GIS with cloud or data lake platforms
Esri Technical Certification or similar GIS certification
Master's degree in GIS, Geospatial Science, Geospatial Analytics, Geo-Informatics, Data Science, or related field
Experience in financial services, retail network planning, or location strategy analytics
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM
