A PREFERRED CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING CORE COMPETENCIES:

Minimum Qualifications
Three years of human resources experience; OR
Six years of full-time experience in any field; OR
A bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
Employee Administration & Benefits (60%)
Processes and audits personnel actions in LA GOV HCM, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Civil Service rules and OJJ policies.
Provides guidance on payroll, benefits, leave, and HR policies; resolves employee concerns and data discrepancies.
Manages promotions, appointments, reallocations, and other personnel actions.
Ensures accurate benefits processing and reporting to OGB, LASERS, TRSL, and other regulatory entities.
Calculates leave accruals, payouts, and retroactive adjustments; prevents payroll errors through thorough review.
Ensures job postings and hiring actions meet Civil Service and Executive Order requirements.
Recruitment, Placement & Selection (30%)
Manages recruitment activities in LaCareers, including requisitions, postings, qualification reviews, and compliance audits.
Advises supervisors on hiring processes, pay policies, and documentation standards.
Administration & Support (10%)
Maintains HR files, correspondence, and tracking systems.
Recommends policy or procedure updates.
Performs additional duties as assigned.
Physical & Other Requirements
Primarily sedentary work with minimal physical effort.
Must be able to perform duties safely without posing risk to self or others.

Compensation:
TheHuman Resource Analyst A(AS-613) title has a Special Entrance Rateof $$1,616.00 biweekly.
TheHuman Resource Analyst B(AS-614) title has a Special Entrance Rateof $1,728.80 biweekly.
TheHuman Resource Analyst C(AS-616) title has a Special Entrance Rateof $1,944.80 biweekly.
TheHuman Resource Specialist(AS-617) title has a Special Entrance Rateof $2,080.80 biweekly.
