What you'll do...
The Senior Manager, Business Analysis & Insights will lead competitive intelligence, retail media market analysis, and strategic insight generation to inform MAP's long-term growth strategy. This role will synthesize industry trends, supplier and competitor signals, financial modeling, and member-driven insights into clear, actionable recommendations for enterprise leadership. The ideal candidate is deeply curious, financially rigorous, and exceptional at transforming complex market data into compelling executive narratives. Sam's Club Member Access Platform (MAP) is the industry's first Retail Media NetworkTM, connecting suppliers with high-value members through data-driven advertising solutions. MAP delivers measurable growth for suppliers while enhancing the member experience through relevant and impactful engagement. As MAP continues to scale, understanding competitive positioning, industry evolution, and whitespace growth opportunities is critical to maintaining differentiation and accelerating impact. This role will serve as the strategic intelligence engine helping shape MAP's future innovation and market leadership. What You'll Do
Lead comprehensive retail media and digital advertising market analysis to inform strategic decision-making
Develop competitive intelligence frameworks tracking parity, differentiation, gaps, and emerging threats across retail media networks
Identify whitespace growth opportunities through:
Industry trend forecasting
Market sizing and TAM modeling
Financial scenario modeling
Economic assumption inputs
Synthesize insights from:
Competitor and supplier earnings calls
Industry analyst conferences and reports
Market research publications
Internal member data and performance trends
Craft recurring executive-ready insights decks for leadership and enterprise partners
Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Finance, Member Insights, and Strategy teams
Lead MAP's strategic innovation process by:
Identifying new areas of differentiation
Evaluating emerging ad tech and digital commerce trends
Recommending investment priorities
Develop parity vs. competitive gap storytelling
Deliver data-driven narratives that influence roadmap, investment, and go-to-market decisions
Build scalable frameworks for ongoing industry monitoring and competitor tracking
What You'll Bring
6-10+ years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, corporate strategy, retail media, or digital advertising strategy
Strong financial modeling experience (market sizing, forecasting, ROI modeling, scenario planning)
Ability to incorporate macroeconomic and industry assumptions into strategic projections
Deep understanding of retail media, digital advertising, or adjacent commerce ecosystems
Experience synthesizing earnings calls, analyst commentary, and financial disclosures into strategic insights
Exceptional PowerPoint and executive storytelling skills
Proven ability to translate ambiguous industry data into structured frameworks
Strong cross-functional leadership and executive presence

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
