Summary:
Meta designs, builds and operates the most innovative and efficient data centers in the world. Locating, developing and managing this data center infrastructure the "right" way is synonymous with ensuring high uptime, capacity availability, flexibility and capital and operational cost efficiency. Meta is seeking an experienced and organized coordinator to join the Global Energy team. Our team is responsible for commercial energy and clean energy supply to power Meta's rapidly scaling portfolio of data centers.
Required Skills:
Energy Analyst Responsibilities:
Work with Commercial Energy Managers to analyze possible rate structures for new data center locations
Serve as an expert on energy rates and usage for Meta's growing portfolio of data centers
Create and maintain models to forecast energy usage and analyze electric rate impacts for future data center sites
Conduct comprehensive cost and load analytics to support site selection efforts and new energy agreements
Work with Clean and Renewable Energy Managers to understand financial impact of projects
Build scalable analytical tools to streamline and simplify analytical tasks
Partner with Finance to support deal evaluations and approvals
Engage with Infrastructure stakeholders to track data center design and capacity engineering trends to improve load forecasting methodologies
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field, finance or business discipline, or equivalent practical experience
5+ years of relevant work experience in the energy industry, with a focus on analyzing rates and tariffs, market information, and load profiles to drive business decisions. This experience should preferably be with electric utilities, large energy consumers, energy service providers, or consultancies
Experience of applying quantitative methodologies to analyze the energy market risks and opportunities
Experience analyzing and interpreting energy usage data, electric tariffs, wholesale energy market data, and renewable energy data
Experience collaborating with data engineers and data scientists and building productive cross-functional relationships
Experience working with Finance and Accounting teams
Experience to manage multiple work streams concurrently and prioritize workflows
Proven communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex energy terms and concepts to a variety of audiences

$132,000/year to $188,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
