Job Description:
Evaluates the quality and effectiveness of nursing practices and services by analyzing internal and external data to identify improvement opportunities.
Collaborates with nursing staff, interdisciplinary teams, medical staff, and executive officers to develop, implement, and evaluate programs and services.
Assesses performance based on professional standards, studies, regulations, and organizational criteria to identify strengths and areas for development. Maintains responsibility for all assigned departments on a 24/7 basis, unless otherwise approved.
Integrates evidence-based knowledge to identify best practices in nursing care delivery. Plans, organizes, coordinates, and directs department functions to ensure services meet established standards and regulatory requirements.
Promotes and monitors regulatory accreditation standards, patient experience expectations, and service delivery standards.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong interpersonal and leadership capabilities including the direct management of multiple departments throughout the hospital. [Required]
Strong management skills and experience with an emphasis on change and the ability to develop consensus from independent parties to achieve the goals of the system. [Required]
Demonstrates knowledge of organizational chain of command and follows as appropriate for assigned unit decision-making. [Required]
Demonstrates knowledge of strategic planning and management. [Required]
Demonstrates knowledge of standards related to the clinical practice. [Required]
Education:
Master's of Nursing [Required]
Work Experience:
2+ health care management [Required]
Licenses and Certifications:
Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
