Summary You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGER in the COMPTROLLER DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SPECIAL WARFARE GROUP EIGHT. This announcement is being amended to reflect the correct office location. NSWG-8. Responsibilities You will Assist the Comptroller in the distribution, monitoring and control of fiscal resources for NSWG-8. You will synthesize financial data to interpret composite results of financial operations to U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), Naval Special Warfare Command (NSWC), and other higher-management level commands. You will ensure Navy FIAR initiatives within the command are consistent with NSWC and USSOCOM FIAR efforts. You will assist the Comptroller with analysis and recommendations on budgetary needs of NSWG-8 for all funding matters You will assist the Comptroller in the development of long-range plans consistent with the strategic vision of the command. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: planning, assessing, programming, budgeting, managing, executing, directing and coordinating resource management activities and developing financial management policy and procedures for a command or organization. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. This position is eligible for ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management. Several vacancies may be filled. This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
