Business Intelligence Analyst I/II
OverviewThe Business Intelligence Analyst (BIA) supports the design, development, and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and data models that drive insight and decision-making across the organization. This role partners with business and IT teams to deliver secure, reliable, and easy-to-use reporting solutions, with a strong focus on self-service analytics and data visualization.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic/data models
Develop clear, actionable data visualizations that highlight trends and key metrics
Create recurring and ad-hoc reports using enterprise data warehouse and source systems
Support requirements gathering and translate business needs into effective data models
Use Power BI, SQL, etc. to develop basic to intermediate analytics solutions
Collaborate with IT and InfoSec to ensure data integrity, governance, and security
Assist senior analysts in solving business problems through data analysis
Stay current with Power BI features, best practices, and BI trends
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Intelligence, or related field (or equivalent experience)
2+ years of experience developing BI solutions (5+ years for level II)
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI
Working knowledge of relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle)
Strong analytical, data modeling, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Azure Data Services
Familiarity with the Microsoft BI stack
Experience with Python or other scripting languages
Exposure to financial institution or regulated-industry data environments
Skills & Competencies
Ability to analyze large datasets and present insights clearly to diverse audiences
Strong data visualization and storytelling skills
Knowledge of and successfully demonstrated experience with MS Office Products, i.e. Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Experience creating and maintaining reports, dashboards, and presentations
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and confidentiality
Familiarity with statistical analysis techniques and statistical software
