Job Description
An experienced Senior Financial Analyst is sought to join BAE Systems Intelligence and Security Program Finance Team to work within its Air and Space Force Solutions Business Area in supporting ongoing Program operations, including but not limited to current and future programs in support of the US Air Force and other DOD and international customers. This position will be onsite at our facility in Fort Walton Beach, FL.
Under limited direction, the selected individual will be responsible for providing ongoing support to Program Management and internal Finance in the management of all facets of relevant financial data, including monthly closing, forecasting, contract interpretation and implementation within the Deltek Costpoint ERP system for successful execution
Develop cost and financial reports to support government contract and internal business reporting requirements
Interface with Program Management and Finance in the development of Annual Plans and Quarterly Forecasts including risk and opportunity analysis for consolidation in Business Area and Sector strategic planning
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
10 years of related experience or Bachelor s Degree with 4 years of related experience or Master s Degree and 2 years of related experience
Competency in accounting and financial principles, theories, and concepts
Experience with costing in a manufacturing operations environment
Exposure to fixed price contracts (firm fixed price, fixed unit price, milestones)
Ability to work independently in managing a variety of task types
Effective time management and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel i.e. vlookups and pivot tables
Effective communication including written, verbal, non-verbal, and using remote audio/video communication software
Knowledge of corporate accounting and finance systems
Understanding and experience with Earned Value Management concepts and processes
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
-Experience in Deltek Costpoint and affiliated reporting applications
-Experience using Hyperion Planning/Smartview Essbase
-Ability and willingness to work additional hours beyond the normal work day when required to meet deadlines
-Subject Matter Expert with Program Controls/ Program Management processes, as applied on developmental engineering and production programs, including but not limited to risk management, financial management, work
breakdown structures, change management, cost estimating, configuration management and system surveillance, operations, and procurement.
-Experience working in a matrixed environment and experience interfacing with high-level management
-Experience with EVMS processes including schedule statusing, reporting, variance analysis, and baseline change control
-Experience in training and mentoring junior staff in Program Finance processes
-Ability to identify and implement new processes and procedures
-Ability to effectively communicate and work with both technical and non-technical staff
-Program Controls/Program Management certification(s) are desirable
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $67728 - $115138
