The 'Sentinel' Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Program will replace the aging Minuteman III (MMIII) ICBM, the first of its kind in over 50 years. This program is considered a mega-project and one of the most complex in the history of the Department of Defense. The new ICBM weapon system acquisition effort brings with it the newest digital engineering tools and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices to meet existing warfighter requirements, while having the adaptability and flexibility to affordably address changing technology and threat environments through 2075. As part of the U.S. Air Force's Integration Support Contract (ISC), BAE Systems provides Advisory and Assistance Services in the areas of engineering, logistics, management, scientific analysis, and other subject matter expertise to augment and optimize management of the Sentinel ICBM Prime Contractor.
The Role
BAE Systems is seeking a motivated Geographic Information System (GIS) Technician to join the Integration Support Contract (ISC) team, supporting the Sentinel Intercontinental Ballistic Missile program for the United States Air Force. This is a foundational role where you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and ensuring the quality of critical geospatial data. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and has a passion for producing high-quality maps and managing data with precision.
Daily responsibilities include:
Create and update maps and map series for reports and presentations using established templates and standards under the guidance of senior analysts.
Perform data entry, edits, and updates to the authoritative geodatabases to ensure information is current and accurate.
Conduct regular quality checks on geospatial data to identify and correct errors, ensuring it meets strict Air Force and program standards.
Digitize features from aerial imagery, scanned maps, and other sources to create new vector data.
Perform basic geospatial analyses and geometric calculations
Provide additional basic technical assistance to team members and stakeholders on matters related to map production and data review.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor s Degree in GIS, Geography, Cartography, or a related field.
0-2 years of experience with Esri ArcGIS Pro for map and data creation and editing.
Experience locating, assessing for quality, and working with authoritative data from open sources
Strong focus on accuracy and a methodical approach to data management and quality control.
Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
An active Secret security clearance is highly desirable.
University coursework or a certificate in advanced cartography, database management, or GIS programming.
Familiarity with Spatial Data Standards for Facilities, Infrastructure, and Environment (SDSFIE).
Familiarity with Python scripting.
Familiarity with land management, construction, utility, land law, and/or environmental data is a plus.

Full-Time Salary Range: $59023 - $100339

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
