Senior Operations Research Analyst - Dayton, OH
This Senior Operations Research Analyst with MTSI will support the DAF PAE C3BM Battle Network. This position requires active collaboration across multiple organizations and lines of effort. This position will be located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and MTSI's Beavercreek, Ohio location.This position is for 100% in-person attendance at Wright-Patterson AFB and/or MTSI's Beavercreek, OH location, no options for remote work.
Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:
Lead engagements with government agencies, industry partners, and coalition entities under government program direction
Leverage modeling, simulation, and analysis environments to support decision-making for strategy, operations, and technology development
Conduct research and analysis to identify future weapons concepts, capability gaps, and potential improvements
Assess the acquisition, rapid prototyping, and engineering considerations for electromagnetic battle management systems, including modification of legacy systems
Perform operational analysis, supporting feasibility and applicability studies for military mission areas and DoD acquisition programs
Communicate and interface with intelligence community organizations to identify threats to U.S. multi-domain kill webs
Promote opportunities for applying next-generation technology to expand mission capabilities
Evaluate engineering inputs to capability development strategies and system architectures
Create analytic trade spaces to identify capability gaps and technical solutions, ensuring accuracy regarding Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs)
Assist in strategic planning and prioritization of M&S investments, requirements development, and objectives for research activities
Prepare briefings, narratives, and analysis products to support program managers and stakeholders, presenting technical material clearly to senior decision-makers
Qualifications
10+ years of relevant work experience in operations analysis, evaluating complex military scenarios, and supporting cross-functional teams across an enterprise
At least 3 years' experience working on classified and special access programs
Comprehensive understanding of multi-domain systems, survivability and lethality assessments, weapon systems, and DoD acquisition processes
Familiarity with intelligence assessments and mission design
Familiarity with statistical methods for data analysis, problem identification, and solution development
Strong documentation skills for capability gaps, requirements analysis, and technology development insights
Ability to collaborate with program teams, engineers, scientists, and external organizations
Strong analytical acumen and ability to work independently or within a team
Must have a high level of motivation, be adept at exploring and learning about new technologies, and have a demonstrated record of successfully taking ownership and responsibility for projects
Must have the ability to multi-task, respond to quick turn-around requests, and produce quality products with minimal oversight
Possess exceptional written and oral communication skills, can develop clear, concise, and logically written business communications, as well as deliver recommendations
Demonstrated effectiveness working in a complex, service-intensive, deadline-driven environment
Ability to build strong relationships to leverage information and insights across key groups
Strong personal leadership, organizational, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
Education Requirements
Master's degree in operations research, engineering, physics, mathematics, computer science, statistics, or another related field required
Experience may be considered in substitution for education
